TRI-CITY PART OFFIRST-IN-NATION EFFORT TOELEVATE CARE FOR ELDERLY

Every San Diego County hospital, including Tri-City Medical Center, has achieved Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation, or GEDA, making San Diego the first county in the nation to achieve this milestone.

GEDA was developed by leaders in emergency medicine to ensure that older patients receive well-coordinated, quality care at the appropriate level at every ED encounter.

Tri-City CEO Steve Dietlin and Emergency Department Medical Director Dr. Cary Mells were proud to join community leaders in celebration of the announcement.
